Concealing information makes you her bitch

As the information age begins to wind down, so does the information

A recurring theme in a lot of my internet pontifications has been the communication of information among humans and the issues surrounding it. (Once I ended up married to a woman who fairly frequently fucks my brains out, my interests expanded a little bit beyond trash-talking women on the internet. Of course I still do that! Just… not all the time. And… with respect. Or something.)

Information may be one of the most important commodities in our era. After all, the birth of the internet launched us into the “information age”. I keep trickling out excerpts from a book I’m slowly writing that’s mostly just many chapters of me pontificating about the internet age, then commenting on its effects on men, women, sex, and relationships, and what the internet manosphere says about all of that. That’s how much I care about information. Enough to write a book about this only-interesting-to-me topic instead of a book of generic advice on how to get girls, why girls suck, and why men have it hard.

I’ll talk about the communication of information issue using a Red Pill mindset first. You know, to keep the target audience of internet men reading for a few more sentences.

Let’s take an example promiscuous modern woman. Every Red Pill man’s favorite person.

She’s not a bad human being out to screw men over, just some middle class white girl who cut loose and slept around her first couple years of college because the internet said that’s what she’s supposed to do, and all her friends did it, and it was kinda fun but kinda overrated. She doesn’t regret it or anything. She just doesn’t think it matters that much. She was young, learning about herself, didn’t harm anyone, didn’t even cheat on anybody, practiced safe sex, and honestly, most of her friend circle — both sexes — were living the same kind of life. So this seemed like a perfectly normal youth to her. She doesn’t think there’s anything to regret, or anything that exceptional about her youth.

She doesn’t know about you and how much you struggled to even get a phone number, or heck to even get a girl to be the slightest bit nice to you, while she and everyone in her circle were having sex. You’re invisible to 90% of women, remember? So in her universe, she’s normal and you’re a rare weirdo she didn’t even know existed. Be mad about that all you want, but you’ve read enough internet manosphere rage porn to know that this isn’t personal. It’s just how women are.

Anyway, now, at the ripe young age of 28, our example woman has found a serious boyfriend. He’s different than the kinds of guys she used to run around with. It’s not as intense and physical of a fling, fueled entirely by chemistry. It’s more… traditional. He’s… nice. It’s cute and romantic and warm and fuzzy and full of friendship and a different kind of love. A more mature love. She likes it… she thinks.

But one night near the beginning when they got to talking, he mentioned that she’s only the third woman he’s slept with. She couldn’t believe it and said so, adding that she was sure a guy like him had been beating away girlfriend prospects with a stick! But no, he confirmed that he’s only had three serious girlfriends in his life. Girlfriends. He hadn’t been playing the casual hook-up game that she had. Like, at all!

She still likes him, and she’s fine with this, but she thought he was a normal guy like all of her friends. And it turned out he’s one of those guys — the traditional guys who have a tendency to get judgy about sex and won’t see you the same way if they know you used to like to cut loose and have fun casual hook-ups.

The thing is, she didn’t really do anything wrong. She didn’t harm anyone or even cheat on anyone, remember? She practiced safe sex. It was a totally normal youth she lived. Everyone she knew was doing the same thing. It’s not illegal. She had a right to do it. She even learned and grew from it and it’s really nobody’s business anyway and it’s all in the past and she’s not even that person any more and was just figuring things out and it really just doesn’t matter!

So she resolves not to tell him about her past. It’s not who she is any more, it’s in the past, and it doesn’t matter.

Said in a more general way: She is going to restrict the information available to her boyfriend.

If he had this information, he may have used the information to inform his decisions. Such as whether to stay in a relationship with her, or whether to have entered into the relationship in the first place. Even if this information wouldn’t have affected his decision to date her, maybe he still may have judged her based in part on this information or seen her in a different light, the same way he’s judged her this whole time based on everything else she’s said or done, positive or negative.

I know it sounds weird and autistic to actually type out that sentence about judgment, but all of us are always judging people based on what we know about them and what they say and do. We just don’t consciously think to ourselves and type out a sentence on the internet specifically saying “I’m judging you based on this information.” We do it in our heads, which is normal, and a lot of the time we’re not even consciously thinking about the fact that we’re judging. Forming judgements based on what we know about people is mostly automatic.

So the absence of information affects our judgment. It makes our judgment less accurate. You might even say that someone deliberately withholding information from us is attempting to manipulate our judgment through the absence of this information.

So our example promiscuous woman is committing a lie of omission by withholding information she suspects her boyfriend would care about, and that would affect his judgment of her and how he sees her. Our example woman is trying to manipulate him through this omission.

But there’s a bigger and more general issue in play than just a slutty girl hiding her past to secure a relationship with a guy she likes: by restricting this man from information, she has robbed him of his power.

Our example woman has decided that because a negative piece of information doesn’t matter to her and was kind of a normal non-event in her youth (at least in her opinion) and she’s not that person any more, that her boyfriend is not allowed choose to have this information matter for him. She knows it would matter to him if he knew, and she is unwilling to be judged for it because she knows better that he does about what really matters.

Even if we assume she is correct and her past promiscuity doesn’t matter at all, what she’s done is far worse than simply hiding her past. She has robbed her boyfriend of the power to decide for himself what matters, and what information to use to form his judgments.

She robbed him of the chance - the power - to reject her.

Or the opposite: to know all of the information that matters to him and maybe not reject her, and have his decision to be with her be a fully informed decision rather than a manipulated one.

Even if we assume she is correct and it would be wrong for this information to matter to him or to anyone, she robbed him of the right and the power to be wrong.

She placed herself in a position of power over him when she robbed him of his power. That’s worse than just being a slut and getting away with it. In fact, in doing this, she has likely doomed her relationship.

She was already starting to have doubts about this guy because his absence of an extensive sex life sets off alarm bells in her hind brain that he’s not in on the game. Not as desirable as she thought. Not as socially savvy and charming, which are traits that would have been confirmed by a history of casual hook-ups.

Plus, now she has to be careful what she says and does around him because she suspects he’s one of those judgy guys who’s weird about sex. She can’t be herself and take the mask off and let him get to know the real her. The manipulation and power imbalance she has created must continue for the relationship to continue.

So here she sits, dating a guy she has disempowered, and she must remain in this position of power over him or he will discover her lie of omission.

And as the months pass, even though this guy she used to think was amazing hasn’t done anything wrong, something’s not working for her. Being with a guy who’s less powerful than she is — someone who she is in a position of power over, actually — is subconsciously making it hard for her to be content, or even just to get into the mood for sex.

Restricting the information people are allowed to access robs them of the power to decide which information does and does not matter to them and to make informed decisions. Sure, some people are dumb and are going to make bad decisions if exposed to certain information. But it’s their right to be wrong and stupid, not anybody else’s right to decide that for their own good, we must disempower and manipulate them.

So back to the more general topic.

We live in an age where anybody with an internet connection can say anything he wants on the internet, often pseudo-anonymously, with hardly any consequences.

This is terrifying.

Because every time an event happens, the news and your government are going to tell you one thing. But they’re just a bunch of journalists and lawyers with an agenda and not actually experts on any topic except for journalism and politics.

Actual “experts” who have experience in a field or live in an affected area will say something else. But people mostly ignore them if the news or the government says something different.

Then you get the pundits who will tell you this entire event is due to racism and climate change and guns and that Trump guy and people being too politically conservative.

You also get the other pundits who will tell you this entire event is due to wokeism and DEI and the Jews and people being too politically liberal.

You have every celebrity chiming in even though they’re just musicians and actors and not knowledgeable on these topics, just rich and famous. You have internet influencers doing the same.

We have too much information, and if it is allowed to be promulgated unchecked, some people are going to decide that the “wrong” information matters, and they’re going to make a wrong and stupid decision.

So we’ve reached a point where our governments, our social media platforms, even our influencers, are beginning to like the idea of restrictions on information. Like a slutty girlfriend who doesn’t want you to know what she’s been up to the past ten years, there are a lot of people out there who want to control the information you know.

Like a slutty girlfriend, they don’t hate you or want to hurt you necessarily. They’re not even bad people, necessarily. They just think they know better than you what’s true and what’s not, and that they know better than you what really matters and what doesn’t, and that it’s better if they put themselves in a position of power over you by deciding what information you do and do not get to use to make your decisions.

But also like a slutty girlfriend, being in a position of power over you causes them to start to see you a little differently. Like maybe you really are clueless, stupid, and a failure. Like it’s an unfair burden that who you are and what you’re like forces them to have to hide information from you. Look what you’ve done to them by being stupid, ignorant, judgmental, and believing bad information! Look what you made them do!

This thing we do where we come together on the internet, shoot the shit, say crazy stuff (some of it even true!), give each other and strangers a hard time, and act like vagabonds and rapscallions, and trade the information that matters to us, is deceptively important.

Deciding what information matters to you is part of who you are. It’s one of the things that makes you different from me and me different from someone else. It’s why I like my wife and you might not. It’s why some guys want to get married and have kids and some don’t. Manipulating your access to information denies you the ability to be who you are. In fact, manipulating the information a large swath of people are able to access helps make their reactions a lot more predictable. Maybe even more homogenous. Easier to handle.

Keep up the trolling, internet men! And think what you want about whoever or whatever you want for whatever reason you want. The information age needs you. Don’t let those slutty governments and journalists and internet influencers make you their bitch.
